Course Description This intensive program provides comprehensive instruction in voice-based truth verification using the VIPRE® and CVSA® systems. Students gain a working knowledge of the scientific, psychological, and operational foundations of voice stress analysis. Through lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises, participants develop the skills necessary to conduct professional examinations, interpret results, and prepare accurate reports in both investigative and pre-employment contexts. Training Syllabus Historical Overview of Lie Detection – Survey of lie detection methods from early physiological devices to modern voice analysis, highlighting scientific progress and field application. Physiology & Psychology of Voice Stress Analysis – Study of how psychological stress and physiological responses affect the human voice, forming the basis for the detection of deception. Instrumentation & Operation of VIPRE® and CVSA® Unit – Instruction on setup, calibration, data interpretation, and system maintenance for both units. Practical Application for VIPRE® and CVSA® Unit – Hands-on use of instruments in simulated field environments, emphasizing procedural consistency and data accuracy. Detection of Deception Techniques – Exploration of behavioral and analytical indicators of deception and their integration with voice stress data. Interview and Interrogation Techniques – Training in effective communication, rapport building, and structured questioning to enhance truth verification outcomes. Examination Question Formulation & Sequencing Criteria – Development of clear, unbiased test questions and sequencing for reliable examination results. Pre-Employment Screening and Examinations – Application of voice stress technology in personnel vetting, focusing on ethics, legality, and best practices. Comprehensive Analysis of Chart & Pattern Evaluation – Instruction in chart interpretation, artifact identification, and recognition of deceptive stress patterns. Report Writing – Guidance on professional documentation and presentation of findings in a clear and objective manner. Hands-On Examinations, Exercises & Quizzes – Practical scenarios reinforcing classroom learning through real-time testing and evaluation.
